Fernando Morientes Sanchez was born in Cillero in the province of Caceres in Spain, on April 5 1976.
 
Married with Maria Victoria Lopez on 23rd December 1999, in Hieronymites Church in Madrid. On that day it was very cold and snowing. Raul and wife Mamen were among the guests, as was then real Madrid president Lorenzo Sanz.

She is more commonly known as Victoria, and dubbed V Lo by her fans.

Her birthday is 6th June.

She has been with him “for life” according to some articles, they seem very much in love, and he wasn’t the playboy young footballer type.

He made his own celebration after his wife's pregnancy by breaking his worst goalless time, with more than 15 games without scoring.

The couple have four children, Fernandito, born on 16th July 1999, Lucia, born on 14th August 2001, Gabriela, born on 21st September 2006 and Martina, born on 24th March 2008. All of them were born in Madrid.

He dedicated his goal in the 2000 Champion’s League final to his son, and his next CL winner’s medal to his daughter. His goals in the 2002 World Cup match against Paraguay to his wife.
